Inom detta projekt utvecklar vi n\u00e4sta generations bildrekonstruktionsmetoder f\u00f6r fotonr\u00e4knande datortomografi och utv\u00e4rderar resulterande bildkvalitet. I samarbete med General Electric Research Center i Niskayuna, NY, USA har vi tagit fram en metod f\u00f6r att korrigera f\u00f6r fysikaliska effekter vid bildtagning som annars kan ge artefakter i bilderna. I samarbete med Institutionen f\u00f6r matematik vid KTH har vi ocks\u00e5 utvecklat en bildrekonstruktionsmetod baserad p\u00e5 djupa neurala n\u00e4tverk, s.k. djupinl\u00e4rning, som kan reducera bruset i bilderna kraftigt.
